ITI for Women, Chengannur was established in 1990, under
World Bank Scheme in the General ITI
campus and shifted to the present building in 1991. It is located at the heart
of Chengannur Municipality, Alappuzha
District Kerala State. It is situated hardly 3KMs away from Chengannur Railway
Station. The institute was set up with
a view to uplift the women of Central Travancore by imparting skill development
training in various areas and thereby
empowering the women.
